Poema

A Poison Tree - William Blake

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

A Poison Tree - William Blake - Poema

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I waterd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole,
When the night had veild the pole;
In the morning glad I see;
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

A Poison Tree - William Blake - Poema - Tradução em Português

Eu estava com raiva do meu amigo;
Eu disse minha ira, minha ira acabou.
Eu estava com raiva do meu inimigo:
Eu não disse, minha ira cresceu.

E eu molhei isso em medos,
Noite e manhã com minhas lágrimas:
E eu tomei sol com sorrisos
E com artimanhas suaves e enganosas.

E isso cresceu dia e noite.
Até que ela tenha uma maçã brilhante.
E meu inimigo viu brilhar,
E ele sabia que era meu.

E no meu jardim roubou,
Quando a noite tinha o véu, o pólo;
De manhã, feliz, vejo;
Meu inimigo estendido debaixo da árvore.
